Want to get away from it all, but have limited time and a limited budget? Below I will provide a weekend break in Europe flying from Manchester to a European City for £300.00
Prices will be right as of time of posting and for accommodation I tend to ensure a minimum tripadvisor rating of 4 stars, with a scouring of multiple positive reviews.
So where are we off?
Budapest Hungary

Why Budapest I may hear you question, it is a real hot spot at the moment. The prices of food, accommodation, attractions and most importantly a pint! are all very reasonable so reasonable in fact it is approx £1.07 for a refreshing bottle of beer. If cocktails are your thing though expect to pay a reasonable £3.38.
Flights for December Friday to Sunday are below courtesy of Sky Scanner.

Culture wise there is a multitude of attractions, the parliament building rivals Westminster, with a river front location and striking neo-classical design. Take the funicular hill tram from the banks of the Danube to high above the city for breathtaking views. By evening find one of the famous bath houses such as the Szechenyi Spa, the brief walk from the changing rooms, outside to devilishly warm pools will feel incredible.

Take a wonder around St Stephen's Basilica, a stunning church with again wondrous views from the bell tower accessed for a nominal fee. A great value and very touristy way to see the city is to take the hop-on hop-off bus. £18.00 for a 1 day pass allows unlimited travel around the city for 24 hours, plus audio tour.

A hotel in which I have stayed myself, and would highly recommend is the Continental Hotel Budapest. Such great value for money £150 for a double room over a weekend. Comfortable beds, bath shower combo and quirky art-deco design.
Pick up a delightful Cesar Salad at the hotel bar with a fruity palinka to wash it down.
If like me on holiday you want a drink or two, this has to be one of the coolest places in the Europe for a tipple.
Occupying formerly dilapidated buildings and courtyards, these paragons of cool are now a firmly established fixture on the Pest party scene

So there we have it, a fantastic hotel in a lively city all for less than £300 for a weekend, even as a couple the cost comes in at a reasonable £350 for two.
Thanks to all my current email subscribers, I have reviewed requests and another blog will be uploaded next week. As always please get in touch with any itinerary you would like producing.
